SPECIAL INTERNATIONAL WOMENS DAY EVENT

March 8, 2026

North Bruny Island

Our day begins with a Smoking Ceremony and Welcome to Country by local elder Tracey Dillon. Guests then gather for conversation, morning tea and a guided walk led by a local ranger, sharing insights into the island’s landscapes and history.

A special International Women’s Day lunch prepared by Bruny Wild follows, shared among flowers and open conversation.

In the afternoon, Karen offers an intimate concert and reflective session exploring creativity, listening and the feminine qualities present in all of us. The day concludes with a sharing circle, honouring insights and the spaciousness created together.

WHY KAREN DEVELOPED THE HONOUR EVENT

Over the years, I've witnessed the most profound transformations happen when we step out of our daily routines and immerse ourselves in new environments. It provides space and time to reflect on what's important. I can't think of a more beautiful space to do this than Bruny Island especially as we honour the feminine spirit on International Womens Day.

The Honour experience is not just a getaway, it's a transformative experience designed to help you soften and drop in.

I am here to help you notice and draw inspiration from the natural world, the rich community that has grown through appreciation of the many gifts of the land and region, and the power of music, wellness and arts practices to help you connect and feel.

WHAT TO EXPECT

Gatherings with Karen Knowles, local elder and women who have a long connection with Bruny Island

Each part of the Honour experience is designed to share and reflect so you deepen your understanding of yourself and your connection to the world around you. We will explore ways to live more authentically and joyfully in the "real world" through guided reflections, breathwork, and soulful discussions.

Pristine Environment

Immerse in the pristine environment of Bruny Island where you can relax and stroll along the beach and notice the little things that are often overlooked within city life enabling you to reflect and focus on what's important to you.

Creative Healthy and Culinary Experiences

Our menu is also crafted to immerse you in the possibilities that are found from softening and connecting. Ray (head chef) and Chris from Bruny Wild are such respectful people in the way they deeply consider the sustainability and health benefits of the local foods they source. Produce will be selected as much as possible from the local region. The tastes will delight you!

Special informal and intimate Concert

Experience a special private concert, where Karen will share music that reflects the themes of The Honour Experience. This intimate setting allows for a deep, emotional connection through the power of resonance and song in the beautiful setting of Bruny Wild overlooking the water.
